Welcome
Welcome to my Stained Glass website.
I have been creating stained glass for the last 28 years.

I trained at The Central School of Art in London in 3 Dimensional Design and went on to become a set and costume designer for theatre and events. Moving into stained glass when my children were young and we moved to Kent.
My work is created in the traditional method of stained glass making.
I use coloured glass as my palette, often painting detail onto it, which is fired in the kiln before being assembled together using lead came.
The window is then ‘cemented’ with a thick layer of black lead -cement which is forced into the gaps between lead and glass to make it strong and water-tight.
The countryside and nature have been my main source of inspiration and continue to be so. I spend as much time as I can out sketching and photographing our beautiful landscape and sea scapes.
Hares and fish are my most used images in glass. Their beautiful fluid shapes never cease to inspire me.
Local folklore, pagan symbolism and mythology are also a recurring theme in my work.
Commissions for windows are my main source of work.
I also make pieces for galleries and artisan fairs.
I teach the art of stained glass making from my light filled studio overlooking the fields.
